2011 Fremont’s Festival of Lights

Nursing Resources participated in Fremont, Ohio’s 2011 Festival of Lights Holiday Parade on Saturday, December 3, 2011. We were excited to be part of this parade since we are new to the community. Since just opening our new office in Fremont back in November. Ann Worden drove one of the Nursing Resources Jeep Compasses in the parade, while Robin Whitter, and family, Jeanine Coger, Deb Penn, and Pam Gill with family walked along handing out candy.

Bowling Green’s 2011 Holiday Parade

Nursing Resources participated in Bowling Green’s 2011 Holiday Parade presented by the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce on November 19, 2011. This parade is Bowling Green’s event to celebrate the beginning of the holiday season. Daralene Herringshaw drove one of the Nursing Resources Jeep Compasses in the parade, while Darren Horrigan and family, Rachel Shanaberger, Emily Yoder and husband handed out candy along with smiling faces on this perfect November day. The Jeep was decorated for the welcoming of the holiday season.

2011 Sylvania Fall Festival

Nursing Resources participated in the 2011 Sylvania Fall Festival Parade on October 16, 2011. The parade was sponsored by the Sylvania Sister City Commission. Rachel Shanaberger drove one of the Nursing Resources Jeep Compasses, while Robin Whitter, Sandra Miller, Amelia Parsh, Kelly McCune, and their families walked along passing out candy. The weather was a little wet, but it was still a lot of fun for all that attended and dressed up in costumes for the Halloween

Roche de Boeuf Parade 2011

Nursing Resources participated in the Roche de Boeuf Parade presented by the Waterville Chamber of Commerce on September 24, 2011. The Roche de Boeuf Parade is the cornerstone of the Roche de Boeuf Festival. Local bands and organizations make their way through downtown Waterville as a kick off to the Festival. 2nd Annual Celebrity Chefs

Darren Horrigan RN, Administrator of Nursing Resources attended the 2nd annual Celebrity Chefs at the Pinnacle on May 12, 2011. This event benefited the Little Sisters of the Poor facility in Oregon, Ohio. During the event priests from the area parishes prepared entrees and deserts for all to share. Pictured here is Fr. Swanton Valley Care Center Community Health Fair

The Faith Community Health Ministry Program of NW Ohio 18th Annual Seminar

The Faith Community Health Ministry Program of Northwest Ohio 18th Annual Seminar was held on April 27, 2011. This program is a multi-faith collaborative which promotes the health and well being of faith communities. Nursing Resources very own Ann Worden, Patient/Provider Liaison was an exhibitor at this event. Ann provided a door prize of a med box that was won by Connie Serror. Congrats to Connie!

Arbors of Sylvania Wine Tasting Night

Arbors of Sylvania Wine Tasting Night on April 19, 2001 was attended by Nursing Resources, Linda Ruddock, Patient/Provider Liaison. The purpose of the event was to speak with the representatives of Arbors of Sylvania about the new care options at their facility. However, this was also a fun filled night of tasting a variety of wines provided by The Andersons, to tour Arbors of Sylvania facility, have your fortune read by well-known Astrologer; Sue Lovett, or just listen to music in the wine garden provided by A Kiss of Class.

2011 Annual Legislative Breakfast

The Area Office on Aging of NW Ohio hosted a special breakfast meeting with Northwest Ohio’s Legislators and Elected Officials on Monday, April 18, 2011. Darren Horrigan RN, Administrator of Nursing Resources attended along with these Invited Officials : Barbara R. Sears (R), Teresa Fedor (D), Matt Szollosi (D), Randy Gardner (R), and Mary Kaptur (D). The breakfast was held at Eleanor N. Dana Conference Center, Campus of Hilton Toledo Hotel.

14th Annual Parkinson’s Disease Educational Symposium

The 14th Annual Parkinson’s Disease Educational Symposium was held on April 2, 2011. The event was held at Parkway Place, in Maumee, Ohio. This event allowed patients, their family members, and caregivers to view products from various service companies to help educate all on Parkinson’s. This also helped in advancing the educational goals for Neurology at UTMC, with Dr. Lawrence W. Elmer. Nursing Resources attendance hopefully will help contribute to further education in Parkinson’s disease research.
