Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapy concerns itself with promoting health and well being by being able to participate in the activities of daily living. The goal of the occupational therapist is to recognize the importance of specific activities for the person, and then either modifies the activity, the environment and/or the person to enable them to resume that activity. It’s about giving them the skills for the job of living independently. For those homebound, it might be cooking, bathing, doing laundry… etc.
An occupational Therapist will assess the client’s needs, and work with the Case Manger in developing a care plan.
