Nursing Resources is very proud of our nursing staff. They are the case managers for every patient we see and all are RN’s who continually update their skills so that they are able to provide the best possible nursing care in your own home. Nurses are the first ones to meet and assess the patient, bringing in appropriate resources in addition to their own: physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, social services and home care aides, as needed. Nurses work with the client’s family physician, constantly updating the plan of health care based on individual patient’s needs.
Candace Gill, our Director of Nursing, along with clinical coordinators, help prepare each RN Case Manager with background information and physician authorizations. “ I really enjoy what I do, getting to know the intricacies of each case, the needs of each person –many we’ve worked with for years – they feel like family” said Gill.
Paying for Care – Most Medicare and Medicaid plans take into account the fact that taking care of elders in their own homes safely, is both comforting and cost efficient. Therefore they are support paying for short-term recuperative health care.
